Attention RUTS members!

Dear Scott,
I hope your summer is
going great, I just returned from a great salmon fishing trip
to my home state of Alaska! 80 degree summer days are great when your
knee deep in a glacial stream with a pole in your hand, but here in
California its not the most popular time of the year to dress up in 25
lbs of protective equipment and ride a machine that heats up to
participate in an outdoor sport in the California desert. There is
however lots of time to hang out with your RUTS family, despite the heat.
This month we have THREE activities you should know about. Our monthly
general meeting is TONIGHT at Fuddruckers in Buena Park, our annual
RACERS meeting is in the high desert on Saturday the 13th and our monthly
club ride, is actually a swim BBQ party in Covina on Saturday August
20th. We hope to see you at one, two or all three RUTS events this month.

Meltdown
25
starting already...
Our planning for Meltdown 25 is already underway. First item on the
agenda is to find a new referee. After 7 years of dedicated service to
our club, John Wiltsey is stepping down. Our trustees are currently
praying and searching out his replacement. Its a detailed oriented job
and Johns successor will need to have a considerable amount of time
available to devote to the planning and organizing of the event. We are
confident that God is going to bring the right person, with the right
skills and the right experience so that our event next year is
memorable one! Please be in prayer on this.
Thank you JW for using your time and your talents to serve the
Lord through Meltdown! We appreciate all that you have done and our
race is more popular than ever because of your dedication.

Annual 2012
Racers Meeting
Friday Aug 13th @ 5pm

Green. We will go over all race related items such as PITS, equipment,
races for the second half of this racing season and more. All active
racers and club officers are encouraged to attend. Even if your NOT an
active racer but live in the high desert, please join us for a fun time
of bench racing and club business.

Club Ride / BBQ
Saturday August 20th
Join
us at 2pm for a fun summer time BBQ / swim party at the home of Bob and
Kathy Cushman in Covina. The BBQ tri tip will be provided, bring a side
dish to share. Dont forget your trunks!
